nawr is a magazine publishing art, photography, literature and creative critical essays by Welsh and Wales-based creatives.
We founded the magazine in 2020 with the aim to publish work that reflects contemporary Wales and Welshness and that captures the present moment. We want perceptions of Welsh art to come from the work itself, rather than adhering to preconceived notions or stereotypes of the nation.
After four years of publishing online, we have now moved to limited-run print zines which are available to order through this online shop!
We are a small team of volunteers, and all of our work is completely unpaid. We really hope you support what we do through sharing our work, or consider buying a copy of one of our issues.
